Got a 2016 320i and lately driving above 120 km/h feels like I’m constantly making tiny steering corrections, plus when I brake from high speed there’s this slight wobble through the pedal. I know the lower control arm bushings are a known weak point on these cars so I’m guessing that’s the culprit. A friend told me I should just replace the whole arm instead of pressing in new bushings because the ball joints wear out too. I’m trying to find a shop with Experienced Control Arm Service that can tell me exactly what’s worn instead of just quoting me for everything under the sun. Has anyone done just the bushings and been fine, or is it really worth doing the full arm while they’re in there? Also wondering about alignment right after – some places include it, some don’t, and I don’t wanna drive out and ruin new parts immediately. Really hoping this fixes the wandering because it’s making long drives pretty tiring honestly.
