I’ve got a 2018 Dodge Charger R/T that I absolutely adore, but over the past month or so the front suspension has been making this horrible clunking noise every time I go over even the smallest bump or pothole. It started off as just an occasional annoyance but now it’s happening constantly and honestly it’s making me nervous to drive the car. I took it to a shop near my office and they told me it needs new control arms and bushings, quoted me something ridiculous like 4500 AED which seems way too high for just the front end. A friend of mine who drives a Challenger said I should check out Dodge car repair Sheikh Zayed Road because there are a few places there that specialize in Mopar stuff and might give me a more reasonable price. I’m just trying to figure out if I should go with OEM parts or if aftermarket is okay for suspension components, and whether the whole control arm needs replacing or just the bushings. Has anyone here had similar front end noise issues with their Charger or Challenger and can tell me what the actual fix was and what I should expect to pay? I really don’t want to get ripped off again.
